Description
The Zafu Meditation Cushion Zen with Kapok from Lotuscrafts is the light and softer version of the classic Zafu cushion. Its wide seat, side stretch pleats and gently sloping shape support an upright, comfortable meditation posture.
The vegan kapok filling is soft and elastic, yet still gives the pelvis a stable base. With a seat height of around 15 cm, the meditation cushion suits a range of sitting positions and is ideal for people who prefer a higher, comfortably padded seat. A zip on the inner cushion lets you adjust the amount of filling.
At around 0.9 kg, the kapok Zafu is noticeably lighter than the version filled with organic spelt husks. That makes it easy to carry between home, yoga studio and retreat. The spelt husk version, by contrast, is heavier and gives a firmer, more compact sitting feel.
Cover and inner cushion are made from 100% organic cotton. The removable cover can be machine washed at 30°C. Lotus embroidery on the carry handle completes the traditional Zen design.

Vegan kapok fibres are soft, elastic and shape-retaining. They cushion the seat comfortably without letting the pelvis sink in too deep. This gives the kapok Zafu a gentler sitting feel while keeping the stability that's important for an upright meditation posture.
Which filling suits you?
Choose the Zafu with organic spelt husks if you prefer a firm, shape-retaining seat that you can adjust directly. If you'd rather sit softer or are looking for a particularly light meditation cushion, the Zafu Zen with kapok is the better alternative.
