Yoga Cushion Half Moon Shanti

The Half Moon Meditation Cushion Shanti from Lotuscrafts supports an upright, stable sitting posture for meditation, pranayama and mindfulness practice. Its ergonomically curved shape creates more room for crossed legs and is especially well suited for the easy pose, Burmese position, and half and full lotus pose. The shape encourages a gentle forward tilt of the pelvis, allowing the spine to rise naturally.

With a comparatively low seat height of around 12 cm, the half moon cushion is particularly suited to people who already have some flexibility in the hips and legs and want to sit close to the ground. The wide, curved seat cradles the pelvis comfortably, while the natural organic spelt husk filling provides support that's both stable and adaptable.

Unlike a classic round cushion, the half moon shape, open at the front, leaves more room for crossed legs. Round cushions are versatile all-rounders and come in different seat heights. A traditional Zafu cushion has side stretch pleats, a wider seat and usually a higher sitting position. The Half Moon Meditation Cushion Shanti, on the other hand, is the right choice if you prefer a lower, close-to-the-ground sitting position and plenty of legroom in the easy pose or lotus pose.

The robust, removable cover and inner cushion are made from 100% organic cotton. The GOTS-certified fabric is manufactured to high ecological and social standards. The heat-treated organic spelt husks from Germany mould to your sitting position; a zip on the inner cushion lets you adjust the amount of filling. The cover can be machine washed at 30°C.
