As an environmentally conscious company, the responsible use of natural resources is very important to us. By offsetting CO2 emissions, we are making an active contribution to climate protection. The values made transparent in this way help to implement targeted measures to reduce CO2.
Supported by ClimatePartner, we are committed to reducing and offsetting CO2 emissions. Our CO2 emissions are offset by our own company and various products from the Lotuscrafts range. ClimatePartner is an innovation leader in climate protection and supports Lotuscrafts and more than 1,000 other companies in calculating and reducing CO2 emissions. Unavoidable emissions are offset through recognized climate protection projects. In this way, products and services are made climate neutral.
Offsetting CO2 emissions is an essential step in holistic climate protection. Due to the even distribution of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, emissions can be offset by climate protection projects in one place, regardless of where they originate. In cooperation with ClimatePartner, we balance the CO2 emissions generated at our company headquarters in Vienna and the Lotuscrafts production sites. All offset products are marked with the label "climate neutral". Entering our ID number 13564-1908-1001 on www.climatepartner.com makes the contribution to climate protection transparent.
Lotuscrafts is committed to fighting the pollution of the oceans, which store a quarter of the CO2 from the atmosphere. Currently, more than 8 million tonnes of plastic end up in our oceans every year, polluting our environment and endangering the lives of animals, underwater plants, and humans. So-called "plastic banks" go directly to the root of the problem and promote recycling and waste separation in developing countries, i.e. where there is insufficient infrastructure. In this way, we can work together to ensure that less plastic is washed into the ocean and create opportunities for long-term climate protection and recycling. To also make sure that people's lives in the various developing countries are improved by creating jobs that make jobs fairly remunerated.
